Welcome to the Rocky Mountain Whitetail Deer Ranch website. We have been raising and enjoying these animals since 1999. Each year we have new fawns to enjoy, and bigger and better bucks to watch grow. We are located only 45 minutes north west of Calgary, Alberta Canada in a quiet little community called Bottrel.

Our breeder bucks
With 200 does being bred this year, we have 10 breeding pens and 11 main breeding bucks. In this industry it takes great bucks to make better ones, and we have been fortunate to have started out with truly exceptional animals. Our A.I. program now includes 40 does per year to some of the top genetics around. Go to our Bucks page to see just a few of the whitetail deer bucks we are now growing.

Deer venison deli
Yes, it is possible to eat deer meat without that “bad game” taste. We have our animals on a prepared pellet ration which means the meat is finished off similar to beef. We have our very own provincially butchered and inspected Alberta Whitetail deer “venison” for sale.

Ranch and photography Tours
Because of the interest in our whitetail deer, we have started giving tours of our deer ranch. From “city slickers”, photographers, naturalists, to children’s groups, we show and educate the public about how we raise and take care of ranched deer. Please go to Tours for more information.
